Presentation types

There will be three types of presentations at the conference: full paper presentations, abstract only presentations and poster presentations.

Full papers will be published in a special iJMEST issue or in the Conference Proceedings. Abstracts for oral and poster presentations will be published in the Conference Proceedings.

Each participant will be allowed to make only ONE presentation. However, subject to this condition, participants may be named as an author on more than one paper or abstract. No paper will be accepted unless at least one author is registered for the conference.

Submission Process – special iJMEST issue

Submission Procedures

All iJMEST submissions are to be made by 25 March 2013 via the Online Submission Portal. Simply create an account by clicking the relevant link on the web site or sign into an existing account. During submission, when prompted, indicate the paper is for 9th Delta Conference on teaching and learning of undergraduate mathematics and statistics Special Issue.

Submission Guidelines

Papers are limited to 10 pages in total when single spaced (inclusive of abstract, references, diagrams). For full instructions on formatting and style guidelines, follow the IJMEST guidelines. As the IJMEST template/formatting guidelines call for double spacing, submissions are limited to 20 pages in total double spaced. Papers will be approximately 5000 words.

Selection Protocols

To ensure transparency and integrity in the selection process for the Delta 2013 iJMEST special edition, guidelines have been put in place.

  • All papers will undergo a double-blind peer-review process with at least two reviewers
  • The editor will not be named as a co-author on any papers to avoid conflicts of interest
  • Should more papers be “accepted” for publication during the review process than can be accommodated in the special edition, a special panel will make the final publication decision. The panel could include Managing Editor of iJMEST, the guest editor, conference convenor, and conference proceedings & program committee members, while excluding any person/s named on a paper under consideration for publication
  • Any accepted papers that are omitted for space reasons by the above review process will be invited to re-submit to iJMEST for publication in a future edition via a “streamlined” process
